Der Dienstagabend bei WDR 4 gehört der handgemachten Musik, den Singer-Songwritern, dem Blues, dem Folk, dem Country. BAP-Chef Wolfgang Niedecken moderiert an jedem ersten Dienstag im Monat die Songpoeten und an den weiteren Dienstag-Abenden ist Manuel Unger am Mikrofon.
Künstler, deren Musik der Tradition genau wie der Gegenwart verpflichtet ist. Großmeister wie Bob Dylan, Neil Young, James Taylor oder Leonard Cohen stehen hier neben aktuellen Künstlern wie Ed Sheeran, Gregor Meyle u. a. Egal, wo die Songpoeten herkommen, sie haben eins gemeinsam: Ihre Geschichten haben etwas zu sagen.
